The BCP HomeChoice Allocations Scheme is now live.

If you still have a housing need and would like to be considered for a property through the BCP Housing Register, you are now Invited to apply.

Application Assessments

Due to the incredibly high volume of applications received, it is taking us longer than normal to process your BCP Homechoice Housing Register application. We apologise but would like to reassure you that we are working through the applications as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, due to the demand on the service, we are unable to give time frames on when your application will be assessed.

If you are threatened with homelessness, please contact bcphousingadvice@bcpcouncil.gov.uk.

IMPORTANT:  Please sign in using your existing Dorset Homechoice login and password to access your account.

You will need to submit a new application to be considered for the BCP Housing Register. (This is required, as your previous application was for a legacy authority, and your new application is for the BCP register.)

Once your application is received, you may receive a call from one of our Housing Advisors, to discuss your Housing Options, alternatively, you will receive a letter from us about your application.

We know you may be concerned about losing your previous effective date, however, if you apply between the 1st September and the 31st December 2021, your application is considered eligible and you have a housing need, you will retain your previous effective date up to a maximum of 5 years.

You are now able to upload your own documents - Log in to your account and click ‘Add supporting documents to my application’. You'll be given a drop-down list of document types to upload for various household members. For example, passport, child benefit award letter, doctors’ letters or an OT letter for a medical issue.
